Student discounts: the price list we keep checking
Twelve schemes, thirteen prices, and what we saw when we opened the company's own page to look.
Every row here was checked on Wednesday 2 September 2026.
Checked means we opened the seller's own page and read the price off it that day. Where a page wouldn't load for us, we say so further down instead of reprinting a figure from last month. The list gets walked again every fortnight, and the date above moves only when it has been.

The £12 minimum fare on weekday mornings is the bit people get caught by, and it's narrower than it sounds: clause 4.5 of the terms puts it between 04:30 and 10:00 Monday to Friday, and exempts Advance tickets, public holidays, and the whole of July and August. So it lifts entirely over the summer, then applies again from September through to the end of June. |

The one we could not check today
Amazon Prime Student. Amazon served us a security page rather than a price, three times, from two different connections. We're not printing a figure we couldn't read off the page this morning, and a free-trial length is exactly the kind of number that quietly changes, so the row is out until a check goes through.
How this list is kept
Ella keeps this one. Sources are the seller's own pages, and the awkward ones get read in the terms rather than the marketing copy: the Railcard minimum fare comes from clause 4.5 of the 16-25 Railcard conditions, the Coachcard postage from the National Express buy page, the TOTUM free tier from TOTUM's own FAQ. If something here is wrong, it goes on the corrections page with a date on it.
