All UniSorted Guides

Pillar guides bring together every UniSorted article on one topic so you can move from question to answer in one click. Pick a topic below and you will find every relevant guide we have published, grouped into the order you actually need to read them.

How to use these pillars

Each pillar is a curated reading list. The first article introduces the topic. The middle articles go into specific decisions. The final article is usually a checklist or a comparison table so you can lock in a choice. Work top to bottom the first time you open a pillar, then come back to individual guides whenever you need to re-check a detail.

Who these guides are for

UK students and graduates aged 18 to 25. Every figure, rate and deadline is UK-specific and verified against a primary source before publication. If a claim has a pound sign, a percentage or a date next to it, a named author has checked it against the official page on the day it went live. When rates or rules change, the article is re-checked on a fixed refresh cadence.

Start here if you are applying to university

Open the UCAS applications pillar and the Starting University pillar first. They cover the application-to-enrolment sequence in the order you will actually hit each step.

Start here if you are already at university

The Student Finance, Student Budgeting and Student Accommodation pillars are your core money and housing reference. If you are dealing with a landlord or a deposit problem, the accommodation pillar has the tenant-rights guides.

Start here if you have just graduated

Graduate Jobs, Graduate Money and Post-Uni Living cover the first eighteen months out: job search, first payslip, loan repayment and renting without a guarantor. Read all three within a month of starting your first job.
